Professional Consulting

No matter your clinical focus, you will work with clients who are facing suicidal ideation and action. This can be intense, and also transformative work. My history of training and experience allows me to be a helpful colleague to practitioners and agencies who want to increase their confidence in this important work.

Consulting

I have a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling, and I am a current PhD candidate studying community-based suicide prevention. I held a previous position both as a member of, and eventually a leader of a suicide intervention team for a large mental health clinic. During this time I trained other therapists in suicide prevention and intervention, and also worked with many clients dealing with all levels of suicidality. I have completed many trainings myself in suicide prevention, and I use an eclectic, person centered approach to working with suicidal ideation and action. I believe each person’s experience with suicidality is unique, and therefore deserves a customized approach. I can assist you with customizing this approach.

I also have experience in providing trainings for agencies, departments and labs on welcoming LGBTQ+ people into the workplace/classroom, as well as transferable counseling skills such as reflective listening.

If you believe I might have a skill useful to your practice or organization, I would be happy to meet with you for a free consultation to determine if I’m the right fit for your needs.

Please note I am not a clinical supervisor, and cannot provide supervision for pre-licensed clinicians.
